Local screen-test data
Saved screen-test results and quick-check history use browser storage on your device. Unfinished report-builder inputs and selected photos stay only in the current page session and disappear on reload unless you export a report. FreeScreenTest does not require an account and does not upload saved history to a FreeScreenTest account or database.
Photos selected in the report builder are processed locally for previews and exported files. Photos, defect positions, notes, serial numbers, PDF contents, and JSON evidence files are not uploaded to FreeScreenTest.
Optional Google Analytics 4
The Google Analytics tag is not requested until you choose "Allow" in FreeScreenTest's own analytics prompt. Your choice is stored in this browser. A missing, unknown, denied, corrupt, or inaccessible choice keeps analytics off. You can reopen the prompt from the "Analytics choices" link in the footer.
Our code explicitly sends only these six custom actions:
test_start, test_complete, result_save,
report_generate, related_test_open, and
guide_open. Their custom fields are limited to a page route, a coarse test
slug, and an interaction method such as keyboard, pointer, or touch.
We do not put test scores, timing measurements, result text, notes, defect positions, photos, report contents, serial numbers, or locally stored history into analytics events. Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals are disabled in our tag configuration.
After analytics is allowed, automatic page views are enabled. Enhanced Measurement for this data stream is limited to page views, 90-percent scrolls, and outbound clicks. Site search, video engagement, file downloads, and form interactions are disabled. These automatic events can include standard web parameters such as page location, referrer, title, screen resolution, language, and outbound-link details.
Google Analytics can also create documented system events such as
session_start, first_visit, or
user_engagement after analytics is allowed.
Google Analytics may then process standard technical data associated with its service, such as browser and device information, network information, approximate region, and an Analytics cookie or client identifier. Google handles that data under its own policies and the Analytics property's retention settings.
Google AdSense
FreeScreenTest can load Google AdSense on individual editorial guide articles. The homepage, guide directory, tool help, interactive screen tests, quick-check and result flows, history, report tools, legal pages, and error pages do not include the AdSense loader or fixed ad units.
Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, identifiers, IP-derived approximate location, device information, and ad interactions to deliver and measure advertising according to the choices available through Google Privacy & Messaging.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may use advertising cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this site or other websites. These cookies enable Google and its partners to personalize the ads they serve.
You can turn off Google's personalized ads in My Ad Center. For Google ads on partner sites and apps, you can also use Partner ad settings. Your sign-in state and browser or device settings can affect where these choices apply; they do not control ads served by other advertising companies.
FreeScreenTest does not send local test history, test measurements, photos, notes, defect positions, serial numbers, or report contents to AdSense.
Advertising consent is separate from Google Analytics consent. Allowing or declining the site's analytics prompt does not grant or withdraw advertising consent.
Privacy controls
The "Analytics choices" link in the footer reopens the site's analytics prompt. You can allow or decline analytics there at any time.
This stores an analytics denial and stops analytics collection on this page and other open tabs when they receive the browser's storage update. If the choice cannot be saved, a warning explains that it applies only to this page. You may also clear browser storage and manage cookies in your browser. Local test history is separate and can be deleted from the History page or browser storage controls.
Where Google displays an advertising consent message, use that message for advertising and cookie choices. Its "Privacy and cookie settings" control, when shown, reopens those advertising choices independently of this analytics control.

The site's hosting and network providers receive ordinary request information needed to deliver the static website and protect their infrastructure.
Children and policy changes
FreeScreenTest is a general-audience utility and is not designed to collect information from children. Do not add personal information to local notes or reports unless you need it for your own private record.
